Who is Kyle Kontos of Double K Football?
I’ve been playing fantasy football since I was 7 years old, co-owning a team with my father until I was 10 at which point I spread my wings on my own. Over the last two decades I’ve continued to work on the craft of fantasy football as it’s become less of something I do and really a year round way of life.
While going to school to get my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration I worked in the retail industry. I spent 5 years working primarily in human resources learning the art of talent management and analysis in a corporate settings and taking those principles to fantasy football. I took some time to reassess what I wanted to do with my life, and with the unwavering support of my wife to be, I decided to embark on the journey of being a fantasy football analyst, writer, and podcast host.
In an effort to give you the best analysis and opinions possible, I watch each and every game, each and every week. However, I don’t watch the game in the same way you might. I keep notes throughout the game, looking for the why behind the plays. For example if I see a corner getting eaten up by certain types of receivers over the first couple weeks of the season, I can take that info and say “Hey here in week 4 this guy has a good chance to tear this corner up so go take a shot on him for this week”. Granted this is a very generic example, but it gives you an idea of the level of diligence that goes into my analysis.
With all this said, the ultimate goal of fantasy football is to have fun (though of course winning makes everything a little more fun). So my articles and podcasts are published year around, going beyond the stats and numbers to also talk about ways to make your league more fun and engaging.
Thanks for reading, watching, listening, and engaging with any of the content I put out, and more importantly thank you for your support because without YOU none of this can exist.
